Stuff You Need To Know
I get recommendations every day of great readings from all over the
internet. And I needed to be sharing them with you. I'll make an
attempt at keeping them organized into headings that you can look
through with some ease.
It should go without saying that when you find something that you think is thought provoking, send it my way and I'll decide if it's something that would benefit the whole of RUF.
Otherwise, take up...and read.
(NOTE: Special thanks to the folks at Redeemer Presbyterian in Travelers Rest, SC for the bulk of the links and work done below.)In
RUF, we are accustomed to saying that there are three topics, three
great truths, three "principles" which are at the heart everything we
are about.
Authority- What is truth?- Scripture
Redemption- How Can I Be Right With God?- JustificationFreedom- How Can I Change?- Sanctification

"The Trustworthy Word of God" (Dr. Dan Doriani)- These mp3 messages are some of the best work that you can find on the internal and external integrity of the Word of God. Dr. Doriani is the pastor of Central Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, MO, and these audio files are graciously provided by Covenant Theological Seminary, the denominational seminary of the PCA.

What Does It Mean To Believe In The Bible? (.pdf file)
This is an excellent, very tightly packed, article on the major issues surrounding Christian orthodox belief in the Bible. Backed up with tons of Scripture and tons of great quotes, this is a must read for someone wanting to explore what it means to believe the Bible.
What about the Canon of Scripture?
Dr. Greg Bahnsen was a formidable Christian scholar and an extraordinary Christian apologist before his death in 1996. This article deals with the very difficult understanding of the Christian view of why we believe the collection of books historically known as the "Holy Bible" are the ones that indeed need to be there.

Bonar was a Scottish Puritan writing in the mid-1800's, but this doesn't mean that he didn't understand something we all need to know. This article answers the question, "I know all this stuff, but why hasn't it changed me?" Highly Recommended
Everything You Wanted to Know About Justification
Again, the folks over at monergism.com give us a whole barrel full of resources on this vital topic.
How Can I Know God?
This is a great little summary of what it means to embrace Christianity, written by a person who probably is the best at speaking to this generation, Dr. Tim Keller, pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in NYC.
Justification: Summer Conference 2006
This all-important topic was the central feature of our national beach conference in the summer of 2006. Rev. John Stone, Assistant to the Head Coordinator of Reformed University Ministries, and Rev. Brian Habig, pastor of Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC were our speakers. There are few more concise and well illustrated series of messages on the topic of Justification that you will ever find. Highly Recommended
