RUF Fall 2007- Revelation and the Urgency of Wonder
The Apostle John has seen something that is almost beyond words to
describe. It is a vision of the exalted God of the universe, and the
Lamb of God. His vision is one of absolute sovereignty, judgement,
redemption, and hope. How will he convey such lofty topics to people
like you and me, people who haven't seen his vision.
The answer
to that question is the book of Revelation. This semester, we are
looking at the world from God's point of view. The lessons come to us
in fantastical and symbolic images intended to fire our imaginations in
the way in which mere theological data cannot.
