Prayer Team

Purpose: This group is dedicated to praying for RUF at Ole Miss, that the Lord would use RUF as an instrument in bringing students to know Jesus and to know him better. Its goal is to encourage students to be on their knees for the Kingdom of God. It is the backbone of the ministry.

Suggested Responsibilities:

• Organize and oversee weekly prayer meetings (in whatever form)
• Keep prayer needs of RUF at large before the entire group. The body needs to see their people praying.
• Invite entire group to continually share prayer requests to the group.
• Once a semester have an evening of prayer event.
• Call special prayer meetings for urgent or important events (deaths, tragedies, etc.)
• Develop a prayer chain of students who will pray for specifics of the ministry.
• Meet 20 minutes before large group to pray for the evening.
• Do whatever necessary to keep prayer before those that come to RUF. We must be known as a praying people.
