Prayer Page
Welcome to the RUF Prayer Page!PRAYER REQUESTS
Prayer
is the heart of intimacy with God. No one has a relationship where BOTH
parties are not communicating with each other. Therefore, because of
the grace of our God, we pray. This page is dedicated to keeping in
front of folks the various prayer needs of this ministry from within
and without. The form below is for you to enter any requests you might
have for the campus minister, the Prayer Team, or RUF at large to pray
for.
A few things about how this works.
- Please
know that when you enter a prayer request, the first and only person to
see that request is our campus minister, Les Newsom.
- Second, there are two kinds of requests on this site. PUBLIC
requests are those that you would not mind appearing on this page for
all the world to see and pray for. Please don't submit a request if you
are unsure about the privacy of the matter. PRIVATE requests will be seen ONLY by the Prayer Team and Les.
(NOTE:
when a request comes in, the campus minister will make a determination
as to whether or not any names need to be mentioned in the request
before passing it along to the Prayer Team. In this, he will err to the
side of caution and will likely remove all names from any requests that
come in and get passed on to the Prayer Team.)
Please know that
there are more than students that are looking regularly at this site.
Alumni, supporters of RUF, parents, and curious seekers are regularly
checking back at this site. So use discretion when you enter something
as a public request, but be encouraged that LOTS of people will be
praying for you!
That said, make use of this resource. We long to see God move in on this campus. But we don't have, because we don't ask.
PRAYER CHAIN
You join the prayer chain when you sign up. New members will simply be added to the bottom of the list. As soon as someone else signs up after you, you will get an email with that person's name. This is the only person you are responsible for contacting in the case of a prayer request. If you forget, the entire prayer chain is listed on the sign up form. You can easily check back.
This might sound useless to some of you, but I promise that when tragedy strikes and God's people need to mobilize, it is a vital part of being the Body of Christ to each other!
